I have been a full-time luthier since 1982.

Early in my career, I was introduced to the central ideas of the Torres-Hauser school by the famous luthier Jose Romanillos. I have been working with these ideas ever since, refining my understanding of them and developing the craftsmanship that makes them 'work'.

I've received a number of awards for my work, allowing me time to do historical and practical research in Europe and North America.

As well as the classical guitar, I have an ongoing interest in historical instruments and make Renaissance and Baroque lutes.

In 1994, two of my guitars were displayed at Canada's national museum, the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Hull, Quebec.
